named after the small, green, foggy town in oregon where they met as missionaries, “roseburg” is an alternative band formed by blonde teenagers zach knell, samuel sheppard, and keith lambson in early 2018.

their debut EP "Heaven Vs. Hollywood" received hundreds of thousands of views and streams within days, thanks in part to a viral facebook video about their origin story, and a music video featuring youtube stars summer mckeen and dylan jordan.

relocated to knell's hometown in utah, roseburg began working with local producers scott wiley (iDKHOW BUT THEY FOUND ME, the aces, neon trees) & nate pyfer (the moth & the flame, kaskade). they added bassist, soren buchert, and released single "Wave" in january, 2019 - a song originally written by knell in high school and performed by close friends, the atomics, before their breakup in 2017. "Wave" has since been featured on top curated rock playlists, and received over one million listens.

in may, 2019, roseburg released leading single "Be Good", off their upcoming debut album, "Righteous Punk", an album which they collaborated on with a number of producers, including band mentor, kellin quinn of sleeping with sirens.

roseburg is also featured in snapchat original docu-drama series “Endless Summer”.

Oregon-formed and Utah-based alternative band 'Roseburg' will release their new single "Goodnight Punk" from their forthcoming album, Righteous Punk, on Saturday, January 18, 2020.

The single, written and produced by Zach Knell, Samuel Sheppard, and Keith Lambson [of Roseburg], was recorded in Provo, UT at June Audio Recording Studios by Scott Wiley (iDKHOW, The Aces, Neon Trees)

"Goodnight Punk" is the 6th and final single release in anticipation of the band's forthcoming album, Righteous Punk, which is scheduled for release February 18, 2020.
All quotes from lead vocalist and primary songwriter, Zach Knell

"'Goodnight Punk was created following the breaking off of my own engagement. It was actually completed on what was supposed to be my wedding day."

"Musically the song is pretty raw and organic, right from the mic, there wasn't a lot of studio processing. That's intentional. We even brought real strings into the studio for the orchestral piece Sam wrote. It is the final track on our upcoming full length album, Righteous Punk - and - on a record which features songs from borderline metal to beachy pop - we believe Goodnight Punk showcases our desire and ability to create timeless and important music - and we don't really care what  'genre' it is."

"The song's heartbroken-and-scared-to-move-on lyrical themes are illustrated partially from our pulling from Righteous Punk lore we've created over the course of the album and even into previous releases. The Righteous Punk is an archetype built to exemplify the typical person who lives in this world and is conflicted between the good and bad in it, and the good and bad in themselves - including, in this case, the loss of love."

"This song obviously has personal meaning to me - it's still hard for me to listen to sometimes. But I think that's why myself, the guys in the band, and our fans who have already been experiencing the song live for months love it, sometimes say it's our favorite on the album, and connect so easily and permanently with it. It's a real piece of our lives. We hope it cuts through all the noise in the world and connects with people who need it."
